The Harlingen Fleet Day is organized by the Verenigde Bruine Zeilvaart Harlingen (VBZH) in collaboration with BENG Events. It’s a celebration for all ages. Come to the seaside of the Zuiderhaven and experience the maritime atmosphere and the vibrant seaport city of Harlingen.
Visitors to Fleet Day can enjoy Harlingen’s ever-present nautical charm. It’s a day for everyone, young and old. Along the seaside quay of the Zuiderhaven, various activities are organized. There will be a colourful market, music, entertainment, traditional craft demonstrations, and lots of fun for children.
The Harlingen sailing ships will host an “open ship” – allowing you to step aboard and explore the vessels. On board, you’ll find exhibitions, demonstrations, tastings, and more. The entire city will be decorated with Fleet Day signage so you won’t miss a thing!
BENG Events is organizing the Colourful Market, featuring a wide range of products – from clothing and antiques to artisanal, regional, and seasonal goods. Parking during Fleet Day
Important! During Fleet Day, the barrier at parking area P3 (next to Harlingerstraatweg 92) will be lifted especially for this event (07:00–20:30), giving you free access to the parking lot. The lot remains open until 20:30, and shuttle services will run until then. Please note that construction work near the Oude Ringmuur may cause traffic delays. If you take the shuttle bus, keep in mind that it takes a detour via the N31.
If you prefer to park elsewhere, that’s possible too. Just note that all other parking areas require payment.
